Hello Tiger fans. Our next opponent is Ole Miss, another SEC west rival and another obstacle in between LSU and possibly the playoff. While we have the potential to be beaten by anybody (aka Troy), we also have the potential to beat anybody, as proven against Auburn last Saturday. I’m hoping this is the game where everything clicks: Arden key shakes off the dust, Derrius Guice breaks out and shows his true colors, Rashard Lawrence returns to 110%, and we execute all our plays with precision. Our time is now!

Ole Miss isn’t quite as strong on defense as Auburn. In fact, they allow an average of 37 points per game. Last year Leonard Fournette shredded them for 18 yards per carry. Derrius Guice has a chance to show that he’s Heisman worthy against one of the worst rush defenses in the SEC.

Danny Etling needs to prove that LSU can rely on his arms and legs to win the game. Our offense has had a lot of bright spots in the past two weeks. For example, the jet sweep against Florida, and the back-shoulder pass against Auburn. If we can execute our plays like Matt Canada has drawn them up, watch out! LSU has great potential to score into the 40s in this game.
Ole Miss’ strength is in the right arm of its quarterback, Shea Patterson. He has the best passer rating in the SEC and will certainly have some success against LSU. However, the way LSU’s defensive backs played against Auburn makes me believe we can limit his impact. While LSU blankets Ole Miss receivers, Arden Key should be wreaking havoc off the edge.

They have a good run game but Aranda learned his lesson from Auburn and I promise you they will not get 200 yards rushing against Devin White and company. Maybe we can once again show off that invincible defense that dominated BYU when we were all healthy. This is a definite win for LSU if that’s the case. Last game we made one freshman mistake that cost us a touchdown, maybe this game we won’t make any.

GEAUX TIGERS!
